I was in the market looking for no drill bracket mounts to hang a ARB awning (2000x2500) on my 5th Gen 4runner OEM roof rack. I am so glad I found GZila mount as an option for the simplicity. If you don't have the patience to measure and drill holes this product is for you. While taking off the back caps of the roof rack rails, you then slide both cross bars off, from there slide the first mount all the way forward to the front followed by the front crossbar, finally slide back crossbar in followed by last mount, and put the back caps on then you are all down. With the installment of bouth mounts and awning it only took me around 30min total. I hope you find value in this review to get out there on your next adventure!
Works very well on my 2020 4Runner and not pricey. Clears standard overhead garage door so it can stay on the 4Runner. With the iron man 4x4 quick release mounts installing and removing the awning is a breeze.
These mounting brackets are awesome. Great quality and install really easy.
Easy to install for TRD Pro roof rack. Just take off the back covers, remove any crossbars (depending on mount location needs), and bolt up. Took a about 45 minutes with some trial and error. Would recommend thread locker for any hardware you use, that is my only concern at the moment. Install was for an 8' ARB awning on a standard roof rack.
The machining in these brackets is very well done. The awning sits perfectly with these brackets, nice and high, and the installation was very simple. Hardware is very nice stainless steel, and well made. Honestly for the price paid they’re a bargain, the quality is top notch.
Installed a kickass awning. This fit perfectly in my oem roof rack and I didn’t have to use the awnings hardware. Highly recommend. These are quite strong and rugged.

I read a different review mentioning a Ford Explorer, and can confirm that this awning mount works amazing on the stock roof rails of my 2014 model year. You will need to slide both mounts in from the rear and push forward as the front does not have enough space. I could not be happier with the build quality and ease of use!

This Mount is perfect if you don’t have a Prinsu rack and want to mount an Awning.to your crossbar rails on a 4Runner Disclaimer… the video that is on YouTube showing the installation is not accurate.. taking off the crossbar cap is step one and then you have to remove any crossbars or roof baskets attached to crossbars before you can slide the mounts in to position. Additionally , the front crossbar cap does not allow the Gzilla Mount to slide in! Only access is through the back points of the crossbars … other than that it’s a great Mount for any awning
This mounting solution was exactly what we were looking for. It made installing an awning on stock 4runner roof rails a breeze. Definitely recommend these if that is what you are looking for!
For those wanting install details, use a trim removal tool or pry tool to pop the end caps off the roof rails, there are tabs on the outer and inner sides of the caps that hold them in place, then slide the hardware in the channel from the rear. Replace the caps and tighten the mounts on and the awning can be mounted. Quick and easy.
I was so lucky to find this product!!!!
First, I don't want to make any drill holes in the existing factory racks.
Second I don't want to purchase another set of cheap racks to do this job because I want a clean job and not add extra stuff and weight to the vehicle.
The installation was done in a few minutes; you don't need another set of hands to get this job done because everything is so easy to mount and adjust. It is built with excellent materials, and the car looks clean!!!! I'm thinking of purchasing more to adapt other applications. Thank you, Gzilla!
