Before Ordering

1. Measure your rack or crossbar
Use calipers or our printable measurement tool if it is round tubing to confirm your tube diameter before selecting a size.
2. Confirm your tent hardware
These mounts are designed for tents that use standard aluminum mounting tracks with 5/16-18 or M8 hex head bolts. Most tents include aluminum slider nuts that work with this style of mount. 3. Select the matching mount size
Choose the size that matches your actual tubing or crossbar dimensions. These mounts are oversized slightly to help accommodate powder coating, but thicker coatings or unusual rack profiles may require sanding, filing, or modification. 4. Choose your quantity
For heavier or more expensive tents, we recommend the 6 pack over the standard 4 pack. Your specific rack and tent rail layout may also limit how many mounts can be used.

Installation

1. Position the tent and mounts
Place the mounts around your rack crossbars and align them with the aluminum mounting rails under your roof top tent. 2. Start the hardware
Start by tightening one bolt with a 1/2" socket or box wrench, then alternate between bolts so the mount tightens evenly around the crossbar. 3. Maintain an even gap
These mounts are designed with a small gap between the top of your tubing and the top of the mount. Tighten evenly and do not over-tighten. The gap should be no less than approximately 0.080" when installed. 4. Check after installation
Confirm the mounts are snug after a test drive or two. For added safety, inspect them again before long trips.

Installing a roof top tent can be challenging due to the size and weight of the tent. If you are lifting the tent or installing it for the first time, we recommend having 2-3 people help with installation.

Tracking Information: Tracking information is automatically emailed once your order has shipped. Receiving a tracking number does not necessarily mean the package was picked up by the carrier that same day.

Need It Faster?: We can often arrange upgraded shipping options such as UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air for an additional charge, depending on inventory and carrier pickup schedules.

Shipping Terms: Once a package has been accepted and scanned by the carrier, delivery times and package handling are outside of our control. If a package is lost or damaged during transit, we will assist with filing a carrier claim when applicable. Packages marked as delivered by the carrier are considered fulfilled.

International Orders: International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, import fees, or other charges imposed by their country.

Best RTT mounts on the market

I’ve had 3 roof top tents with different brackets for each. Most just give you the universal mounts for all racks. I wasn’t happy with the ones I received and started looking for other options and came across these mounts. I originally order a set of 6, 4 for my tent and 2 for my 7 gallon shower. I wanted my tent to be a little more stable and just the extra peace of mind so I added 2 more on the tent just to make sure it doesn’t go anywhere. These mounts are solid and I have zero worry of them breaking or coming loose. I wish I would have found these years ago when I bought my first RTT. Fast shipping also. They are pricey, but you defiantly get what you pay for.

Square bar rooftop tent mounts

This is a great solution for those who have square bars and need to mount a rooftop tent.

I tried looking all over the place as the stock mounts were nowhere close to secure. While these are on the pricey side, they worked great so I can't complain.

These are stated to work with THULE but also worked with my INNO racks which use the same size bar. It's slightly larger than the Thule due to the coating on the inno but will still work.

Good quality

I got these for my Topoak Stellar tent and my Venom roof rack for my 4 Runner and they are way better than the stock brackets that came with the RTT. These do not bend. They fit very nice.
